Why Give Dawah?
An Obligation: “Invite to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.” (Quran, an-Nahl: verse 125)
The Best Job: “And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, “Indeed, I am of the Muslims.” (Quran, Al-Fussilat: verse 33)
Great Reward: “By Allah, if Allah were to guide one man through you it would be better for you than the best type of camels.” [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim] Red Camels (the best type of Camels) = the best of wealth.
Establish a Legacy: “Whoever guides [another] to a good deed will get a reward similar to the one who performs it.” [Saheeh Muslim] Imagine the benefit of this while you are in the Grave/Akhirah?
The Greatest Sunnah of the Prophets:
ICNA offer onsite and online dawah training to educate members, volunteers and communities of how to effectively communicate with people of other faith and cherishthe commonalities. We invite our fellow neighbors to our mosque during special holidays and mosque open house conferences.
